Wallace Rossall was born in 1929 with his heart on the wrong side, one lung missing, and his intestinal organs occupying a cavity in his chest. His “twisted insides” went unnoticed until Wallace was taken to hospital with a stomach complaint at the age of six. “Not bothered” by his condition, death records apparently suggest Wallace lived until the age of around sixty-five.
